The Oakleigh Garden District and The Historic Mobile Preservation Society, GSC member groups, will host at the Oakleigh Historic Home and Museum an important Public Meeting with the Map for Mobile/Zoning Overhaul Project Director, Ms Shayla Beaco, and Consultant Mark White, for information about the city's ongoing Zoning Overhaul.

Information about the overhaul and draft documents are on this govstmobile.org website and on the mapformobile.org city website under the Zoning Overhaul tab.  There you can read the full text of the first draft/working draft Zoning Articles as well as the Public Comments and Planning division responses to comments.  The revisions will be ongoing through the winter, and the revised version will be posted in March and presented to the Planning Commission.  There will be a public hearing at that time.  When approved, the Ordinance will then go to the City Council for final assessment, final public hearing, and approval.  The target timeline date is May for final approval.
